Our mission at Shwe-by-Gugu is to dress the sitting President of the United States and anyone of the Kardashians in African print.
That's because we believe our
continent's print is unbelievably stunning and deserving of a LOT more publicity! It's about time the world caught on.
Help us make it happen.
HOW MANY TIMES A WEEK DO YOU WEAR AFRICAN PRINT?
Once? Twice?... a month? Traditional shirts for men normally command huge engagement on social media with their bold colours and patterns. These designer shirts are synonymous with our incredibly diverse and amazing culture, full of rich traditions and heritage. But then why is it that our wear in the majority of our environments are so heavily characterised by 'traditional western' attire? Job interviews, business meetings, school uniforms, even the uncles at lobolo negotiations... Our traditional african attire seems largely reserved for Heritage Day and special occasions. Enough is enough! We aim to normalise African inspired wear into our EVERYDAY wear.
We endevour to provide the latest modern design mens shirts, long sleeve shirts, and dress shirts to your doorstep. More formal shirts are coming soon. To that end, our promise is service excellence with every interaction. All our garments are locally crafted and adapted for the local South African man. We do all of this to prove South Africa’s and Africa's talents, heritage and global competitiveness.
Currently being an online-only shop we appreciate that our work shirt might not fit you exactly as you would like on the first try. That is why we give you a Free Pass on the first fitting.
